Students will become certified in our techniques and receive a certificate of completion at the end of the class.

Then you will need to apply for a tattoo permit at the health department in the county you reside in prior to taking your first client.

If you are taking any other class with us you would need to contact your state board of cosmetology to ask them the requirements for licensure.

We are solely teaching you the skills.

No experience, permit, or license required for students to enroll in the beginner classes.

Students must be 18 years or older to enroll into a class.

A certification certifies you in a technique(s) and a license/permit legally permits you to perform the technique(s).

As a training academy, we provide students with a certificate of completion to demonstrate that you have taken the course and you have the knowledge to perform the service.

However, we do not provide you with a standing permit or provide you with a license/permit. The permit you get in our class is to work on a model for that day provided by our health department. Only your local health department is allowed to provide you with a permit/license that will allow you to legally perform the service.

In North Carolina, you need a tattoo permit in order to legally perform the service. In order to obtain the permit/license here is what you need:

Take a training and obtain your certification

Obtain your BBP (Bloodborne Pathogens) certificate by taking an online course. (we include one in our training courses which must be completed before your in person training)

This 2 hour online course is required for every pmu artist that takes our classes. The course teaches you proper health and safety practices.

The course is included in the price of our classes. We will send your login credentials 7 days before your in person training.

You will also need to establish a place that you will be servicing clients at whether it be a salon, salon suite, room rental or bed rental. You will need this address on your permit application.

Fill out a Tattoo Permit/Body Art Practitioner form and submit it to the health department. You will need your ID and to pay a small registration fee (varies on county you are in).

Once you complete the form and submit payment, the health department will contact you to schedule an inspection of your location and you will receive your permit/license by mail or on the spot!

All in-person beginner and advanced training include a live model practice portion where students will be able to apply their new knowledge and skill on a real client whether they its another student or a real client. In the event a student isn’t ready to work on a model, we offer one on one additional live model practice and 1 refresher course. The student may come back to join a later class when they are ready where space is available.

Students will be closely supervised and guided by an instructor during this portion. Students will be allowed and encouraged to take photos and videos for their portfolio for marketing purposes.

Students are recommended to bring their own model however a model can provided for an additional $100.

We offer financing for services through PayPal Financing.

How much are the monthly payments?

This amount will depend on how much you want to finance, how many months you’d like to take to pay it off, and how much the interest is (depending on your credit score).

Once you apply, PayPal will show you your payment options. To finance your tuition there is an additional $100 fee.

On average, brow artists charge $400-600 for a single service with beginners charging about $300-400 in the beginning. Most brow artists typically make on average $8000-$10,000/month with many achieving 6-figure incomes the first very first year of their career.

We recommend beginners with little to NO experience to take in-person training to ensure they receive the proper hands-on training on a live model. This can be done AFTER taking and online training. You do not have to necessarily an in person training first.

In the event your class is cancelled on our end we will get your rescheduled for a later class date that will work for your. Whether a private training or another group training.

We allow one free transfer assuming we are made aware at least 5 days prior your upcoming class. If you require to be transferred a second time you will be charged $150 as a fee to transfer. You will not be allowed to transfer a third time and your deposit will be forfeited, as the constant transferring holds a spot which could be available for a student who is ready and willing to learn.
